Radiance of Spring

The first rose of the new year. Bought them at work, and didn't expect them to survive- but this one bloomed like nobody's business, and being the runt (ie much shorter/smaller), really thrived. The picture turned out a bit 'off' in terms of color (the rose is deep red, not tomato), but it's still wonderful in my opinion.

This is the first photo taken with my very first digicam (Minolta DiMage S414)
