Kitsune Tarot: 9 of Wands

Run ragged and battle-toughened, a ninetails kitsune leans momentarily against a lantern, not caring if it's in her way. She's taken beatings and is battered from the incidents, but she's not down, nor will she back down in battles that matter. When this card shows up, it is a warning to proceed carefully: the person the reading is being done for may get hurt. If you've already been burned before, it's easy to empathize with this fox. Life can be hard, dreams and hopes can shatter, but we remain. It is natural to become defensive and cautious, but life has strengthened one as well, resulting in having physical stamina and inner drive to persist despite all setbacks. No matter what, one must prevail- draw onto hidden reserves despite fatigue kicking in, keep fighting, use sheer force of will and defend yourself long enough to carry through into more peaceful times.
