Ceraphi, Canipess and Elrien

I've had this picture since October or November, but was either too darn busy to color it or was just afraid of coloring it, since I hardly knew how to go about it. I knew the color scheme involved Ceraphi's newly-dyed cobalt hair and the colors of his dragon bonds, but the kimono was going to be tedious.

It turned out well in my opinion- a bit 'busy', but the light sources- Elrien's glowy bits and mood charm showing shi felt affectionate- were challenging, as was displaying the various lighting effects during 'daylight' and on a fabric of the near-opposite color. I also was hard-pressed to look back through my memories of kimono racks I've seen and looked through before- they're usually so *busy*. It's hard to find one that's just a solid color. It turns out Ceraphi chose one with koi on it. Leave it to a Tanaziran feliniar to get one with *fish* on it! XD I didn't realize this until just now. It turns out the pattern of the fish pulls an optical illusion when you're looking at Elrien's face- making it look like shi's backlit by a fireball.

All in all, I'm pleased with this, except Ceraphi's face. He's aged so much since last I drew him!- but I think he's stopped aging now, so that's a plus for me.
